Video Games surge in Popularity

A Mintel Report entitled “Toy Retailing - UK - March 2019” states that “Over three quarters of all people agree that children are becoming more interested in video games from a younger age and 68% feel that children spend more time on computer games than playing with physical toys. Women and men differ in their support for video games, with 15% of men saying that they would like to buy their children electronic devices, as opposed to 10% of women (see Preferences When Buying Toys).”

“However, although women are less likely to want to buy children’s video games, 70% of them feel that children spend more time playing with computer games compared to 65% of men and 82% agree that children have become more interested in playing video games from a younger age compared to 73% of men.”
