British Business Behaviour Predicted in 2021

Deloitte has produced a report on 2021 Global Marketing Trends which is available to download. In their overview of the report, they state “Customers have made it clear they have high expectations for brands. These include solutions they can trust, a brand purpose that aligns to their values, and experiences that enable them to act as co-creators rather than recipients of someone else’s vision. In the current environment, those expectations were heightened. Companies that succeed, particularly when confronted with global disruption of business, work modes, and service delivery, act with intention and clarity in fundamental ways.”

Here are some of the report findings: One in 5 people in Britain stopped using a business due to their COVID-19, while 19% started using a brand as a result of the actions it took in response to the pandemic.

More than 70% agreed they valued digital solutions that deepened their connections with other people, and 63% believe they will rely on digital technologies more than they did prior to the pandemic even well after it subsides. In Britain 20% of consumers said once lockdown restrictions lifted they would spend more money at online stores. 58% of respondents could recall at least one brand that quickly pivoted to better respond to their needs, and 82% said this led to them doing more business with the brand.
